'SUPERIMPOSITION' Imaginatively curated by David Hunt, this
group show counters the Japanese Superflat sensibility with a different take on
the pervasive influence of virtual space and digital depth on the work of 21
mostly non-digital artists. With Richard Dupont's stacked female Binary Model, Anthony James’ queasy neon
screen, Torben Giehler's Tomorrow World,
Marsha Cottrell's diagrammatic chaos, Jessica Rankin's cryptic stitching on
layers of organdy, a sublimely pale canvas by Jacqueline Humphries, and more, including
Jim Lambie's eyeball splat and Matthew Bakkom's 35mm film urn, it offers a
layered mix of handcrafted eccentricity, high-tech slickness, and crafty
conceptuality.
